New Dining Membership Club Renzell Expands to Philadelphia

Renzell is a new membership club for dining enthusiasts looking to change the way restaurants are rated.

Renzell has identified the best restaurants in Philadelphia and invites guests to dine out, earn points toward unique experiences in and around Renzell Restaurants, and help survey the restaurants to provide the most objective and accurate restaurant rating system in the world.

Renzell Private Tasting at Aldine

The first experience that Renzell will host in Philadelphia is a private multi-course tasting for Renzell members only at Aldine (1901 Chestnut Street) on Sunday, March 5th at 7:00PM.

A Private Tasting for Renzell members includes a pre-dinner cocktail, a tasting menu with wine pairings, coffee or tea, and water. Additional food or drink may be purchased for an additional charge.

The private tasting event at Aldine is exclusively for 20 Renzell members only and not open to the public. Members must have 10,000 Renzell points for 1 ticket for this private tasting event.

Renzell points can be initially purchased on the website upon signing up — you receive 500 points simply for signing up and 1,500 just for answering some bonus questions and then eventually more points are earned after taking a comprehensive, post-experience survey and uploading receipts from participating restaurants. The survey assesses the experience of dining out through eight categories: cocktails, design, hospitality, food, service, value, vibe, and wine/sake/beer.

Renzell wants to help create the most accurate, objective restaurant ratings in the world. They consider themselves a more upscale, Michelin-like ratings system for restaurants. Let’s put it this way — they’re not trying to be the next Yelp. They are currently available in ten other U.S. cities — Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.

We’re excited to give it a try. Come join us at Aldine on Sunday, March 5th!
