Brian Engler, owner of Sola BYOB is pleased to welcome Executive Chef Scott Morozin.
Chef Morozin, a Delaware County native started his career at Roux 3 under Chef Jay Caputo. After which, he attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. Upon graduation, Chef Caputo brought Morozin into the kitchen of Steven Starr’s, Tangerine. He departed Tangerine to follow Caputo to the award winning restaurant, Espuma in Rehoboth Beach. His resume also includes several years with Daniel Stern at Rae, Gayle, Mid-Atlantic, and R2L.
Most recently, Chef Morozin took on the summit of all positions in the kitchen, as he started to lead kitchens as both Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef in various locations featuring varied cuisines. In these positions he learned to cook everything from Southern BBQ to Greek cuisine and even Pan Asian. As part of his journey, he had four opportunities to showcase his talents as Sous Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City.
“Scott has proved himself at every level and at every turn of his career, and is always ready to reach for the next rung,” explains owner Brian Engler. “When you put together unsurpassed talent and passion and consider his portfolio, there lies a chef who can and will accomplish anything in any circumstance. And we are incredibly pleased to have him begin his next chapter here at Sola.”
At Sola BYOB, Morozin will bring the kitchen to a new level with his culinary techniques and flavors. Produce will be sourced from two local farms, Red Earth Farm in Berks County and Heritage Farm in Philadelphia.
Chef Morozin will also offer a Four Course Menu every Monday through Thursday for $39 (plus tax and gratuity). The menu will change weekly to reflect what is fresh and in season.
