CANCELLED: Sweets and Beats Live at Stateside Urbancraft Vodka Distillery in Kensington

THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED

Kensington-based Federal Distilling and Stateside Urbancraft Vodka will host debut live ‘Sweets and Beats’ event on Thursday, June 2nd between 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

Sweets and Beats Live at Stateside Vodka Kensington

‘Sweets and Beats’ is the side project of Chef Lila Collelo of Brûlée Bakery, and her husband Blake Collelo, known as electronic music artist Pixel8ter.

In 2015, they began ‘Sweets and Beats’ as a live-streamed cooking and baking demonstration (by Lila) paired with live electronic music (by Blake). The “dinner and a show in your living room” steams on Twitch several times per week.

Now the show is going live for the very first time at Federal Distilling and Stateside Urbancraft Vodka in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia!

The ‘Sweets and Beats’ Live party will be an interactive social event that allows guests to mingle, drink, nosh, and dance at Stateside’s chic Federal Distilling Room, full-service cocktail lounge, adjacent to the distillery located at 1700 N. Hancock Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.

Guests will enjoy the following:

  • Savory gluten-free appetizers and light bites by Shamrock Catering;

  • Signature cocktails by Mixologist Kyle DiRaddo of Stateside Vodka;

  • Delectable gluten-free desserts (‘sweets’) by Chef Lila Colello from Brulee Bakery;

  • Groovy DJ set (‘beats’) by Pixel8ter.

Suggested cocktail and dessert pairings include:

  • Ginger Buttercream Macarons paired with The Perfect Martini (Stateside Vodka, Lilet, orange liqueur)

  • Raspberry Lemonade Squares paired with The Daywalker (Stateside Vodka, blueberry-ginger simple syrup, lemonade)

  • Almond Elderflower Tea Cakes paired with The Other Side of the Pillow (Stateside Vodka, lime juice, cucumber syrup, and club soda)

  • Olive Oil Cornmeal Cake with Lime Zest Glaze paired with Scent of a Mule (Stateside Vodka, fresh squeezed lime juice, house made ginger beer, vanilla extract).

Tickets are $25 when purchased ahead of time and will be $35 at the door the evening of the event. The cost of each ticket will include all apps and light bites, all desserts, and one complimentary cocktail from the cocktail menu. Additional cocktails will be available at a cash bar.

Gratuity is not included. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend. The event is standing room with some limited seating available. Tours of the facility will be available to see how the vodka is made.
