Sake Hour: Yakitori Boy To Celebrate National Sake Day on October 1

Philly’s first authentic Izakaya and upscale karaoke lounge, Yakitori Boy, is anticipating an eventful and exciting fall season. With a handful of new specials and upcoming events including the Papal visit and Chinatown’s Night Market, Yakitori Boy has a busy schedule planned for new visitors and repeat customers alike. From sake to sushi, Yakitori Boy has Philadelphia foodies’ Japas cravings covered.

Yakitori Boy Will Be Open for Papal Visit
Looking for a hotspot that will be open and serving up fresh food when the Pope comes to town? Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, Yakitori Boy will be that go-to spot, keeping guests fed and entertained from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. Enjoy authentic Japanese tapas and premium drink selections. Plus patrons can expect karaoke to be going all night long in the Japas Lounge and private rooms. There will be a 5 dollar cover after 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday only, so come prepared to eat, drink, and sing!

Sunday Night and Monday Night Football in Chinatown
Just in time for the season, Yakitori Boy is also introducing their brand new football game night specials every Sunday and Monday beginning at 8 p.m. Feast on 50 cent wings served with signature specialty sauces – Fire Dragon or Southwest – 5 dollar Parmesan Truffle Fries, and 3 dollar Corona and Corona Lights. What’s more, starting in October, guests can satisfy their tastebuds with Goose Island Oktoberfest brew for only five bucks. Don’t forget to stick around on Sundays and Mondays after the game for Late Night Happy Hour specials from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.

On Thursday, October 1, Yakitori Boy will be celebrating National Sake Day with an exclusive Sake Hour event. From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., sake expert Heather Lee will be in attendance to explain the ingredients and preparation of the selected sakes in honor of this unique holiday. Following the tasting, patrons can take advantage of a premium sake cocktail open bar with Japanese tapas to complement select sake cocktails – and of course, karaoke. Tickets are $46 and the event is expected to sell out.

Finally, join Yakitori Boy as they support their community during Chinatown’s Night Market happening on Thursday, October 8.
